Yes, Brent could be a dragon-riding vampire with a wizard sidekick. ;-) Good idea, Lynn.

James, I'm a girl and it made me yawn a bit. AND, I'm older (I just write for the twenty somethings)....

I know a lot of readers who would like that kind of storyline. Just not any young readers. And hey, I'm not knockin' the writing.....just yeah, yawn....

Now, if this Brent guy was an immortal or something, or had some fantastic powers....then I wouldn't yawn too much. **smile**

Groan.

I admit, I'm a guy, and maybe that is part of why this book would put me to sleep. But I think the real reasons are exactly what you pointed out.

I think a good term for twentysomething readers is "fidgety"--at least it is for me. If the plot is sitting still, I can't.

I'm curious to know if this plot would appeal to "older" readers.

Yes, the whole walking-into-the-men's-room thing was good. I chuckled. But that's about all that made me giggle. But you're right, it's not very edgy.

Where's the adventure? The strife? Well, ok, there's adventure in moving from a big town to a small town... But that's boring (for me) to read.

Great post today!

Ohhh, lookin' forward to "the list" tomorrow.
